STATIC is a family-friendly science-fiction film based on a teleplay by Richard Rose that was optioned by K. Simmons Productions in Hawaii and updated by Kendrick Simmons, the Executive Producer and Director.
The story concerns an old man in the early stages of Alzheimer's who believes he hears old programs on a vintage Philco radio that only emits static.
STATIC premiered on September 25 and 26 in Hawaii and throughout the US on a FOX affiliate station to rave reviews by viewers.
The film is now available on DVD. Here's a link to purchase.
In October of 2022, the film took first place in the category of "Feature Film" at the 10th annual Moody Crab Film Fest. In November of 2022, the movie won two more awards at the Chicago International Indie Film Festival.

Teenage cartoonists, Charles and Richard Rose, drew comic strips for their grade school and high school fans in Kokomo, Indiana. This became the genesis of their collaboration on the screenplay, Comic Crusaders.
In this adventure fantasy, a teenage cartoonist brings his superhero to life with a magic pen to help him with his problems. However, when the pen unleashes a host of his super villains, he has to find a way to prevent them from taking over the world. The screenplay uses a blend of live action and computer graphic imaging.
The screenplay has just been released in book form by Aignos Publishing, an imprint of Savant Books and Publications. It is an exciting new genre, a novel/screenplay, being pioneered by Aignos/Savant!
Additionally, in late 2020, Comic Crusaders was optioned for a motion picture by K. Simmons Productions in Hawaii. Executive Producer Kendrick Simmons was selected to participate in the Creative Lab Hawaii's Directors program. He choose Comic Crusaders for his project.
